Eating healthy has never been more important than it is now and if you are finding you have a little more time at home at the moment then it’s the perfect time to experiment with recipes and even get the kids involved.
If you’re lacking a bit of inspiration then change4life is a great resource with loads of easy recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, bbq’s and even sweet treats!
When the weather is nice the temptation for ice cream becomes even greater, and whilst the real thing, as part of a balanced diet, is no problem at all it can be nice to have a healthier alternative too.
Did you know you can make an ice cream style desert just by freezing a ripe banana?
4 ripe bananas (1 per person)
Peel & slice your bananas
Put them in the freezer for at least 2 hours or overnight
Put in a food processor and blitz until smooth & creamy
Scoop into a bowl & enjoy – you can also add a bit of cinnamon or some other frozen fruits.
